Buddhist Mobilization Project (BuMP) Sanghas agree on some basic values:
- We believe we are interdependent with all being, so compassionate action is not separate from looking after our own welfare.
- We believe that all people have equal and inherent value and dignity and deserve the opportunity to thrive and live lives of self-determination.
- We believe that humankind must learn to live sustainably and in harmony with nature.
- We believe the reports of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), that we are in the middle of a climate and ecological emergency, and that - among other things - we have to work toward a just phase-out of all fossil fuels.
- We believe that healthy democracies are the best form of government for ensuring the long-term wellbeing of life on this planet.
