Buddhist Mobilization Project (BuMP) Sanghas are guided by some basic principles:
  1. Our motivation for action is ultimately based in love, so we aim to set aside anger, fear, hatred, and attachment to results.
  2. Our actions in the world need to be grounded and supported by our ongoing Buddhist practice.
  3. Our actions are not separate from our practice, but a manifestation of it.
  4. Our behavior is guided by the Buddhist ethical precepts.
  5. The support of Sangha (community with other like-minded people) is indispensable for sustaining wise and compassionate action in the world.
