Buddhist Mobilization Project (BuMP) Sanghas are guided by some basic principles:
- Our motivation for action is ultimately based in love, so we aim to set aside anger, fear, hatred, and attachment to results.
- Our actions in the world need to be grounded and supported by our ongoing Buddhist practice.
- Our actions are not separate from our practice, but a manifestation of it.
- Our behavior is guided by the Buddhist ethical precepts.
- The support of Sangha (community with other like-minded people) is indispensable for sustaining wise and compassionate action in the world.
